Course title:  Marketing I
CREDIT: 1.0
Grades Eligible:  10-12


Description: Basic entry-level concepts are explored to provide students with an understanding of selling, advertising, promotion, distribution, financing, and the free enterprise system used in marketing. Personal skills and human relationships will be emphasized to keep a job once one is achieved.


Course title: Marketing II
CREDIT: 1.0
Grade Eligible: 11-12
Prerequisite: Marketing I


Description: Students will be exposed to the twelve different marketing areas and emphasis will be placed on the why of marketing. Exploration of marketing locally, nationally, and internationally will be discussed.


Course title: Management
CREDIT: 1.0
Grades Eligible: 12
Prerequisite: Marketing II


Description: This course addresses the history and development of management.  Students will learn various techniques to become a more effective leader and manager in business. Entrepreneurship techniques will be developed and explored using forms, philosophies, and computers.


Course title: Marketing Co-op Work
CREDIT: 1.0 – 3.0
Grade Eligible: 12
Prerequisite: Marketing I and Marketing II or Management


Description: Marketing co-op is a student work program that allows students release time for work. Students can earn up to 3 units of credit in coop. To participate in the co-op work program, the marketing coordinator and the SCTC director must approve students. The student must meet specific requirements and be enrolled in Marketing II or Management.
